half way there
its really hard to believe that i am already halfway through my junior year of high school and shortly i will be completely done with my junior year starting my senior year. i am so glad that i came to diamond oaks i have met many new friends and learned tons of new things. i wouldn't take back any of the decisions i made especially not the one to come to diamond oaks. diamond oaks has many benefits that mt healthy didn't have, such as freedom to listen to music and using my phone, within reason. above that the teachers here at diamond oaks are amazing they really help as much as possible and do it in a way that you can understand instead of teaching it the way its supposed to be taught they teach it in a way that every individual student can understand. my expectation for diamond oaks was pretty close to what I've seen so far i didn't expect the teachers to be so cool and the students to be so mature so i really feel like i belong here. i haven't picked up any habits really but i have noticed that i have changed a little bit, instead of feeling like i'm oppressed and i cant to anything like i felt at mt healthy i feel more free here and more like an equal to the teachers instead of feeling like i'm inferior to them even though i am some ways.
new year, old me
in the new year my main resolution is to stay the same Kevin and don't let anything get to me and change me. people change all the time and usually not for the better and i don't want to be one of those people i want to stay the same for a long time. one thing that i do kind of have on my resolution list is that i want to stay in shape for baseball and when the time comes for baseball i am determined to push myself as far as i can go and further for my team to ensure we don't have another losing record. i will practice in the off season and double as hard during the season to make sure i am strong enough to will my team on. i am trying to make this change because last year as a sophomore that was my first year starting catcher for the varsity baseball team and i didn't have the best season but now i know that i have to practice and get better and stronger to keep my team intact so we have a chance at winning the state playoffs this year. last year i should've let the team being the catcher but since it was my first year on varsity i didn't really know how to do that but now that i have a year under my belt i think i can do it.
